Fast maturing, challenging par parkland plotted within the race track and overlooked by a luxury modern Marriott hotel.

Lingfield Park Marriott Hotel, Surrey -

The Course is a challenging 18 hole, 72 standard scratch course that is yards in length and offers bunkers, wind funnels, streams, ponds and a variety of mature trees which all make for a great day's sport for golfers of all abilities. Despite huge building works being carried out next to the club house a huge Marriot hotel , dust and earth works machines.

Its been at least four years since my last excursion to leafy Lingfield, not the fondest of memories but over time and several favorable comments we gave it a shot. Walking into the club house on a Tuesday old boys morning a scene from a western Despite the initial rception we had our customary full english breakfast, marginally worse than the frosty reception overpriced and over cooked Was not expecting much out of this course seeming it's parked in between the race course but was extremely suprised.

Really interesting course and a good test of golf. On a voucher this is great value for money.

A Testing Golf course Played Lingfield golf club as part of a society on a Sunday saver package and found it great value for money. A very testing course which personally I would say not a course for the higher handicapper, consisting of various sloping lies and tree lined fairways. The course looked like it was in need of some T. Reviewed Oct 9 by Mark T - rated 3 out of 5.

Terrible condition Was really shocked by the terrible condition on the course as an example there was grass in most bunkers and the greens were in terrible shape. Reviewed Aug 25 by Michael B - rated 4 out of 5. Enjoyable course. Reviewed May 20 by David - rated 1 out of 5. Shocking conditions!!! Absolutely ridiculous price for what you get. Fairways are overgrown and the greens are like concrete. The tee boxes are solid too. Struggling to find anything good to say about my experience at this course.

Reviewed May 7 by Tony D - rated 1 out of 5. Arrived late but no queue- whats going on! It didnt take long to realise that the fairways and for that matter the greens were the worst I think I have ever played. So dissapointing! The course is as picturesque after playing here some eight years ago Fairways in particular were awful, grass way too long and greens super slow.

Its a tough challenge with tight tree lined holes.

Individual holes would normally make for a stern but enjoyable round. Unless I hear of serious improvement- that will sadly be my last round here.

Reviewed Feb 22 by Kevin A - rated 4 out of 5. Good challenging Course Some nice looking holes that provide a pretty stiff challenge for anyone wayward. Some holes are tight and tree lined. If you stray with the hook or slice you may be doomed. Putting surfaces run true and watch out for water.

The Course

The tee of the 18th can be daunting as you peer at the long par 5 with all those bunkers. A joy to play. Round played: Feb - Score: Handicap: Reviewed Feb 19 by Matt J - rated 3 out of 5.
